GREATBHET 2025_ Understanding making of a leader!
Leaders are not born! They are created, moulded. and nurtured by the conditions and exposure!
Every, person who leads and is successful is praised for his destiny, but we often miss out to consider the journey involved. To trap this journeys of making leaders and
inspiring the rising leaders of tomorrow through the means of interviews, an effort is made by the 'Leadership Development Centre' at Jnana Prabodhini which is called "GreatBhet”!
36 interviews, 41 teams and 123 participants!
Were the figures that provided a sense of contentment to all the 23 organising committee members who had invested their 2.5 months and countless calories in making of this event.
Inviting participants from around 40 colleges in vicinity of Pune and connecting them to the renowed leaders from various walks of life to help the participant understand and learn the making of a leader. Sounds pretty exciting and simple, right?
so, did we think when we enrolled as organising commitee and attended the first meeting. But then we began on a journey of shaping the event, understanding the team work needed, the complexities and technicalities involved and most of all the
'human nature: What the process taught me is the amazing and enthriling aspects of human nature and networking. Every interviewee had a different lesson to teach, every participant had different demand to put and every oc member had a different opinion to present.
The process was enriching and made us learn and unlearn many a times. Division of work into departments where interviewees' deparment was busy connecting to interviewees: drawn from formality to affection, Media and publicity department making the idea reach as wide as possible through social media and offline publicity, finance and sponsorship department collecting funds and maintaining records, the workshop team making every effort to make the gathering seamless and the data dept .collecting the data, made the process more organised.
Though divided into departments, the coordination and communication in the team made us all work together, motivate each other and praise each other.
At every stage, we learned from mistakes and came up as a team with new spirit. from workshop to the interview process to the final prize distribution every stage taught us how to improve.
The contentment and a sense of achievement felt by us, not as individuals but as a team on the day of the prize distribution event was worth the efforts and time spent. The unbelievable bonds that the coordinators had built with their groups were sparkling during group discussions and the unexpected connections with the interviewees who responded so affectionately and attended the program made a surge of happiness pass through our veins.
GreatBhet taught us more than just management, it taught us team spirit, human networking, patience, endurance, to take lead sometimes and to understand othertimes. It taught us to deal with formalities as well as emotions.
It made us learn, unlearn and relearn. It was an amazing experience which helped us understand the journeys of leaders while helping us navigate through ours!
